Alessandro is a young Italian fashion model whose life seems to have reached a dead end when, one day, walking down the streets of Rome, he bumps into Sophia, a young girl from Argentina, with whom he falls desperately in love, right from the very first moment he sees her. Loving her becomes the whole purpose of his life, to the point that it seems to take him to another world. When the story with Sophia ends, Alessandro finds himself alone, face to face with reality.
Eitan Pitigliani was born in Rome in 1986. After a brief spell as an actor, he studied Directing in New York and London, before realizing his first short film in 2010, “In this life”, selected at numerous film festival, among which the Italian “Corti d’Argento” in 2011. The short was presented in Parliament and received the praise of the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano. In 2012 Eitan directed his second short film, “You will find me”, winner of the Golden Spike Award at the Giffoni Film Festival in 2014. In 2015 Eitan realized his third short film, “Like a Butterfly”, winner of more than 20 awards. The short, starring the American legend Ed Asner, winner of 5 Golden Globes® and 7 Emmy® Awards,
Insane Love is the story of the young generation of today, the Millennials, who spend all their time on social networks, forced to confine themselves behind a screen, that gives them the illusion of being really connected to each other, while all they long for is to find the true love. When that day comes, they give up everything, embarking on a journey of no return, an emotional rollercoaster that will take them to the limits, where they will finally come face to face with themselves.
