Una missione che svolgiamo con passione e determinazione, per diffondere la storia, sostenere il presente, e costruire il futuro della cultura cinematografica a Milano

CINEMA ARLECCHINO

IThe Arlecchino Cinema was born in 1948, just a year after the birth of the Cineteca di Milano in 1947, the first to be born in Italy, and stands out from other contemporary cinemas for the refinement of the furnishings and the presence of signed works of art by Lucio Fontana and Piero Fornasetti. The cinema represents a model of modern art cinema, unique in the panorama of the city of Milan, it was designed by architects Roberto Menghi and Mario Righini and its name is a tribute to the theatrical show “Arlecchino servant of two masters” that Giorgio Strehler had staged in Milan at the Piccolo Teatro the previous year and which soon became a symbol of freedom and a global success for the city.
