5th Annaul Salento International Film Festival

CINESALENTO, Presents on September 5 trough September 14, 2008, in Tricase - Italy, the 5th edition of the "SALENTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL", a cultural and glamorous happening in Salento, the oriental door on the heel of Italy.

The Salento International Film Festival (SIFF) promotes Italian and international independent films to the public, in recognition of the fact that movies are the most powerful form of cultural communication and link between cultures' and peoples'.

The event consists of nine days of film festival 'premieres' including retrospective screenings, feature films, short feature films, and documentaries from the international artistic panorama; all of which shall be presented to the public.

During these nine days, an international jury of film industry professionals will be evaluating the competing works. Awards will be given to feature, short, and documentary films.

The event is organize by CineSalento with the support of Puglia Region, Province of Lecce and the City of Tricase

WORLD CINEMA FOR CHILDREN : A non competition section shocasing the best film for children.
